Some recent upgrades to Mahurangi school.

🚨 Project Complete – Mahurangi College Commercial Pool Upgrade 🚨
We’ve just completed a full commercial pool filtration system at Mahurangi College in Warkworth – and it’s built to perform. 💪

Heat pump 1 full day running temp went from 15 degrees to 22 degrees without covers on. 360,000ltr body of water. Big flow, big heating power and great pressure.

Our Commercial team, lead by Jackson Watene installed some excellent product from Fluidra commercial group.

Products used 

🔹 Praga 1600 commercial filters
 🔹 Kivu high-efficiency pumps
 🔹 ABB variable speed drives to optimise power use
 🔹 Astral 190kw heat pump
🔹 Guardian chlorinator for clean, consistent water
🔹 4.5mm heat guard thermal blanket 360sqm
🔹 150mm commercial rollers x 3

This is a full Fluidra commercial install

We will be reducing the heating bill/ costs with our PSH Thermal solar heating system shortly for sustainability and resilience

This upgrade means lower running costs, better water quality, and a more sustainable pool system for the school’s hundreds of daily users.

Outcome: Balanced chemicals and chemical levels consistent.

Monday 29th July 2024 - Installed a Guardian pool NN and Aqua dos dosing machines. 

  • 1 week results 
  • PH balanced and stable 
  • Chlorine levels subject to bathing load and does spike and drop. Guardian will work to manage levels. Pulls levels back in line very effectively
  • Alerts light up machine when there is an issue ie Low flow, high chlorine or low chlorine levels, 

 


Water quality 

The team struggled with water quality. The guardian enabled the team to become proactive. Rather than reactive. Levels used to spike with peaks and troughs. 

They had issues with filters breaking dumping sand into the pool. We built a vacuum system, they were able to get hundreds of kg of sand out of the system without wasting valuable water and chemicals.

Cleaning sand out of pool system, while retaining water in the pool. 


Pool looking crystal clear

Vacuum system and buckets. Sand drops to bottom of buckets, water over flows. We retained water and disnt lose any valuable chemicals.  

4mm thermal heat guard blanket. No sewn seams with top and bottom weld seams. For long lasting quality.

No sewn seams means longer lifespan. Blanket is cut straight by a computer. Computer welds the blanket. Less room for error.
