Welcome to Pool Solar Heating Specialist. We are a whānau-owned and operated business with more than 35 years of industry experience behind our team. Our journey began with Rick Flood, who started Sunbather NZ and helped shape the pool solar heating industry in New Zealand. Rick remains a vital part of the team, while Justin and the Watene whānau proudly carry that legacy forward with the same care, practical know-how and commitment to quality.
Pool Solar Heating Specialist is proudly led by a Māori business owner. Justin brings a grounded, hands-on approach to every project, combining trade experience, problem solving and a deep respect for people, place and the environment. After his career as a professional skateboarder, Justin now spends much of his time in the ocean, surfing and supporting sustainability projects such as Love Our Gulf. That connection to the moana continues to shape the way we work: practical, efficient and focused on long-term outcomes.
