The Downunder hidden roller is made from 316 stainless steel. This is the minimum standard when you want to bury a cover pit underground for a long period of time.
Our engineers have designed the Downunder hidden roller to be very easy to use with a light weight finger lift lid. So you done have gas hinges or heavy parts that are not necessary.
If the timber frame moves, then the whole Downunder unit will move, so you don't get the lid pinching in the timber or you don't get the gearing twisting off 90 degrees.

Never bury a square box, as this will fail over time and make sure it is 316 stainless steel. Like any drain that is buried under ground, make sure it is made up from a cylinder which is much stronger.
